Probation, Dismissal and Reinstatement

Students must maintain a certain minimum Grade Point Average based on the number of credits earned. Students will be placed on Grade Point Average Probation at the end of the Spring semester if their cumulative GPA falls below that minimum. Students who fail to meet the terms of GPA probation will be dismissed at the end of the Spring semester. Dismissal from the College is permanent unless a written reinstatement appeal, made to the Committee on Academic Standing of one of the College's three schools, is successful. < more information >

Worksheet and Degree Requirements

The Academic Worksheet provides students with documentation outlining the courses they must complete in order to meet degree requirements. It provides a complete breakdown of every credit needed for graduation, including electives. The Academic Worksheet helps students plan their selection of courses. We recommend that all undergraduate students have a worksheet prepared at least once during their careers at Baruch. < more information >

Students who wish to withdraw from all of their classes must consult the Center for Academic Advisement. < more information >

Orientation

In order to help you make a smooth transition into the College, we require all incoming students to undergo a 2-part orientation to the College All newly admitted undergraduate students will receive a Baruch Electronic Orientation CD-ROM once they have returned their Admission Response Form to the College indicating that they will be attending the College. After viewing the CD-ROM all incoming students are then required to attend a brief on-site advisement and registration orientation, "Making the Baruch Connection." < more information >
