The Amy Hagedorn Challenge
With the 50th Reunion of the Class of '58 upon us, I am giving $58,000 to Baruch College, and I am issuing a challenge to you.
My name may not ring a bell, but perhaps you’ll remember me as your classmate who was very pregnant at the start of our senior year. In fact, I may be the only alum from our class who has a 50-year-old son.
I know that Baruch College remains a place of promise and hope for the future and it still mirrors life in the Big City. In fact, the standards today are even tougher than they were during our years there, and that is very encouraging.
When I read a letter from our classmate, Nat Mistretta, a couple of weeks ago asking for our special Reunion year gift to Baruch, I decided to do my part to encourage all of you to give back as well - a gift much more about the future than the past.
To honor our school and distinguish our class, please join me in making a gift to Baruch this month. A gift in ANY amount will help, but please be as generous as you can. My hope is that gifts from our classmates will more than double the amount I am contributing.
With my warmest regards,
Amy Hagedorn ('58)
(aka Amelia Maiello & Amy Valentine)
