Sophomore guard Tammer Farid scored a game-high 22 points (8-11 fg) and newcomer Steven Bader notched a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds to help the Bearcats put together a strong second half to cruise past Polytechnic Institute of NYU, 91-66, in a non-conference game played on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.Box Score

The Bearcats competed against the Privateers from the State University of New York at Maritime in a non-conference road encounter on Wednesday night in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx. The women had another strong meet by winning all but two events, while the men went the distance in losing via a very tight score. In other special team news, the CUNY Athletic Conference office based out of Queens College today announced that Baruch's Idan Saragosti and Priscilla Arana have each been named the Rookie of the Week in the first set of weekly honors anounced for the 2008-09 season.
